August 11, 2018 10:41 AM Blog
Today was spontaneous and left the house around 5:10amI had no idea where I wanted to go or what even to take photos of, this is where planning comes to play! So I just drove slightly out of eastbourne to the royal eastbourne golf club and walked up the hill to overlook Eastbourne. The sky was an awesome orange at this point but my camera remained in my bag. The bushes and trees were making composition hard and couldn't find much to focus my shot on. Some heather was dotted about here and there ......

Birling Gap Aug 1st
August 1, 2018 10:19 PM Blog
Well a day later to get out and go for a sunset due to someone boxing my in a tight space i couldn't get out of. I had to bike it to work 6am in the morning and then bike back home. And it's been awhile since i've done any fair distance on a bike so was shattered once I got home and had dinner etc. But motivated myself to head out to Birling Gap.I find Birling Gap a challenge as it has many rocks and such a scattered field of them and end up breaking out the 10 stop filter all the time to g ......

An overcast morning,Sure feels like it today I originally set my alarm for 4:15 and had in mind of going somewhere other than Eastbourne but I had pressed the snooze alarm twice!. So moved out of bed at 4:45 and ended up at Eastbourne Pier. VERY glad i did. Some amazing low clouds golden sunrise and at one point before the sun rises the sea even looked more blue than normal and made for a very calming shot. Which I feel is my favorite out of the 4 I had chosen. ......

On my visit to Newhaven on the 25th on road heading past farmers fields with the hard light hitting the newly ploughed field I knew i had to get a shot of it.Well having now been awake for 16 hours and getting (kind of a sunrise in Hastings this morning) So decided to go out for a sunset too. But again that was short lived due to cloud on the horizon line but high cloud breaking the sun with light rays was nice to see. And at least I've finished with something to end the day with.So 8p ......

July 28, 2018 11:11 AM Blog
Hastings, East SussexMorning rise again 3:30am along with my brother in law Mike. We decided to set off to Hastings but with weather warnings (yellow) and thunder and possibly sunrise if any. Our main target is Hastings Castle where we have never taken a photo of before. Upon arrival we discover that its under national trust and sectioned off by gates. So this killed what we were hoping to achieve but might make one week for a sunset! We headed down the seafront to hope for sunrise, it didn't ha ......

I set off at 6:45 from Eastbourne ideally wanting to capture Newhaven at Sunset, I know the harbour has a nice feature called the harbour arm. (seen in the pic below)My vision was to capture sunset but had to learn a new skill with panorama (photo stitch) my efforts of doing so failed so this has taught me a lesson for next time. And will post my outcome in the next week or so.There were people fishing at the arm also, and the guy noticed a seagull had fishing tackle around his feet :( he mentio ......

So on the 22nd of July 2018 after fighting with myself for over a year and 3 months with depression decided to make my move on the 23rd and get up and do a sunrise by myself. Though I had gone out before and had taken a few landscapes with other relatives and friends who are into photography I struggled to get motivated even with company and didn't like my end results as my passion, feeling wasn't where I wanted to be.So i set my alarm for 4:45 for the 23rd of July and headed to a place whe ......
